Refund Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
We want you to be happy with InvoiceAPI. This policy explains when and how you can get a refund. For anything not covered here, email support@invoiceapi.devand we'll work something out.
1. 7-day refund window
If you're not satisfied with a paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Scale), you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase. No questions asked.
The 7-day window applies to your first subscription purchase only, not to subsequent monthly renewals.
2. How to request a refund
Email support@invoiceapi.dev with:
- The email address on your InvoiceAPI account
- The transaction ID or approximate purchase date
- A brief reason (optional, but helps us improve)
We'll confirm receipt within 1 business day and process approved refunds within 5–7 business days. The time for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).
3. What is not refundable
- Subscription renewals: monthly auto-renewals after your first billing cycle
- Partial months: we do not prorate refunds for unused time after cancellation
- Requests made after 7 days of your initial purchase
- Accounts terminated for violating our Terms of Service (fraud, abuse, illegal use, etc.)
If you forgot to cancel before a renewal, contact us within a few days of the renewal charge and we will review it on a case-by-case basis.
4. How refunds are processed
- Razorpay customers (India): refunded to your original payment method through Razorpay. Card refunds typically appear in 5–10 business days; UPI and net banking refunds are usually faster.
- Paddle customers (international): refunded through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle will issue a corrected receipt and reverse the charge to your original payment method.
Refunds are issued in the original currency charged. We do not compensate for currency conversion differences or bank fees.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing support@invoiceapi.dev. Once cancelled:
- Your plan stays active through the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged again
- You keep access to paid features until the period ends
- After that, your account automatically moves to the Free plan
Cancelling does not automatically refund you. If you want a refund and you're within the 7-day window, mention it in your cancellation email.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks are expensive to process and often take longer than a direct refund. If you file a chargeback without reaching out first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is resolved.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when it was last changed. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email or an in-app notice.
